Tennessee Campus Compact, founded in March 2008, mobilizes engaged campuses to strengthen student learning and revitalize communities contributing to workforce and economic development.

The Tennessee Campus Compact will serve as a key partner to other state efforts in creating solutions for higher education challenges of access, equity, and accountability while promoting engaged citizenship.

The TNCC is governed by an Executive Board, the Executive Director, and an Advisory Committee. The Executive Board consists mainly of presidents and chancellors while in recent years consensus has been reached on ad hoc advisory committees. The Executive Director directs and manages operations and reports to the Executive Board.
